SUMMARY:FunFly! (4th Saturday of the Month August) 22nd 2026
DESCRIPTION:Come out and fly this Saturday!!!! Bring the family! Bring friends!! It’s always a good time!!\nOver the last few years\, from conversations\, we decided to make sure to have at least one day a month that fellow\, and potential\, club members know that other’s will be out to fly.\nThese are planned for the 4th Saturday of each month – weather permitting…\nThere are a few picnic tables under the pavilion. Feel free to bring any tables\, chairs and canopies for your own use.\nNote – The hours listed are the “official” hours – However\, feel free to come early or late. There are usually people at the field till dusk\, but feel free to message us to see if we are still there in the evening.\nWe will most likely have trainers available\, if you’d like to give it a try or if you need some help.\nThis is weather dependent. We will post and email if we need to cancel.

SUMMARY:Annual Night Fly with the Milan Flyers Radio Control Flight Club
DESCRIPTION:Calling all night-flyers!!!\nThis is our last official event of the year. Being that it’s just before Halloween\, who knows what neat things will happen.\nJoin us and fly or just come to watch. Either way\, it’s always a fun time at The Field of Dreams with The Milan Flyers!!\nHoping for good weather! Do check your email\, or our Facebook page for announcements.\n\nWe will follow the AMA safety guidelines for night flying\, which states:\n“Night flying requires a lighting system that provides the pilot with a clear view of the model’s attitude and orientation at all times. Hand-held illumination systems by themselves are inadequate for night flying operations and must be supplemented with other lighting systems.”\nIf you are unable to set up battery powered lights\, consider use of chemical glow sticks. The wrist bracelet style can be left straight and taped to an air frame with minimal impact on aerodynamics.\nWe will mark the runway and flight line with glow sticks and other lights. Anyone on the field side of the safety hedge should also wear marker lights such as glow sticks or led lights so other pilots can observe their location. Red is suggested for preservation of night vision.
